April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog and the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  If you have come here from Kristine's blog, you are on the right track.  This month our SOTM is called You Are... (S1204) and can be purchased for just $5 with a $50.00 purchase from our fantastic Idea Book.

My card is the standard 4.25 X 5.5 and is made from Kraft CS (Z1375)  I also used Black, Lagoon, and White Daisy Cardstock.  There is a piece of Cruisin' B&T, as well as three Black Brads.  I used a PopDot on both the Amazing! and You are Positively.  The pattern for this card came from Wishes and can be found on page 27.  Lucky Layers is the pattern name.

Now hop on over to Allisa's Blog to see what she has created.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!

Omaha Leadershare

Last weekend was Omaha Leadershare at the Regency Lodge.  We made some great artwork, took home a lot of great information, and had a really good time.  Sarah and Peggy attended with me, and I am so glad they did.
Here is a picture of one half of the room in front of us.  There were over 100 consultants enjoying themselves for the two days.  We made 7 2-page layouts, a set of ten cards and a set of 5 cards.
Thanks Shari, Vickie and the Close To My Heart guys for presenting and making this so easy for us to attend!  Come back this way soon!!

Meet Eva Caroline

Had to take a bit of a break from creating to welcome this cute little bundle to our family.  Meet our granddaughter, Eva Caroline.  She came a month early, but we are just tickled to have her here.  I see scrapbook pages in my future!

Close To My Heart is launching new consultant websites!  A new sleeker look, more information and updated enhancements.  With this, CTMH is giving each consultant a newsletter full of all of the current artwork, constant campaigns and an area for my classes, workshops and events.  Also, an added bonus, anyone will be able to add an order to an existing open gathering.  How great is that?!  Watch for these features coming soon!

Going Green with H2H

I am really a very "green" person.  There isn't a green that I don't like.  So with this challenge, I picked Sweet Leaf and Topiary.  Maybe my all time favorites, but it's really too hard to choose.  The Background and Texture papers here are both retired.  Do you remember these?  More favorites.  The stamp sets are also both  retired.  Isn't it great to dig out those oldies but goodies?  I finished it off with a Dimensional Heart sponged with Baby Pink Ink and Green Sparkles.   White Daisy and Black Cardstock round out this card.  Go on over to the Heart2Heart blog and check out the rest of the artwork.

2 Cards for Card Class

Goodness, I have been away for a week.  How time flies when you have too much to do.  But I always say, I'm never bored.  Here are a couple of cards we are making for card class on Wednesday.  The one on the left is made with Rosy Regards (B1369) and Card Chatter-Sympathy (D1476).  The Lucy Pack, Creme Brulee, Cotton Candy and White Daisy Card Stock are also used.  Baby Pink, Cotton Candy and Sweet Leaf Ink, with a couple of pink blings round out this card.  The card on the right is a bit more masculine.  I used paper from the Elemental Paper Pack along with Desert Sand, Sorbet, Indian Corn Blue and Colonial White Card Stock. I stamped with Indian Corn Blue.  Just a Number (D1514) and Love Life (D1482) were used with Antiqued Copper Brads and the Art Philosophy Cartridge for the star and border.  I'm looking forward to Wednesday, I hope my students are too.

A Blossom

Do you ever start out to make a card with an idea, and have it change before you are done?  That's what happened here.  The rectangles were in the original idea, but after that it all changed.  I think it worked out ok, but it's always good to be prepared for change.  This is a standard sized card, the rectangles were made using the Pemberley Paper Pack, and Honey, Indian Corn Blue and Vanilla Cream Cardstock.  The background is Outdoor Denim CS.  I don't think you can see it in the picture, but the Honey CS is stamped with Honey Ink using Universal Backgrounds (D1477) ; the screen design.  A Honey Flower from the Art Philosophy Cartridge along with a Honey Button and White Paper Flower (retired) are on the front.  The saying is from (A1121) A Blossom.  The rectangles are cut at 1 1/4 x 1 5/8.  Thanks for looking!
